Book Clubs
Be working now to participate in our Lonestar Celebration! Read twelve out of the twenty Lonestar books over the course of the year, and fill out a book summary sheet on each (available in the library). Then be invited to a Lonestar Celebration party during the summer to celebrate your accomplishment!
Did you realize that we're open in the mornings before school? Come to the library to read, play chess, checkers, cards, work on school work, and play approved online games...but don't be late to class! Sorry, but we can't write passes. Start your day with a book!
Are you tired of hanging out in the cafeteria after you finish your lunch? Come down to the library and challenge a friend to a game of chess, checkers or mancala. Or why not gather up a group of your friends and start up a student-led book club with Mrs. Money as your sponsor? Or you can bet on finding a quiet corner to read, if that's what you prefer. It beats a noisy cafeteria any day! (**We may be closed during lunch on days when classes are scheduled in the library and Mrs. Money is teaching.)
"Seventy million books in America's libraries, but the one you want to read is always out."
~Tom Masson
