Each student has a pocket at the front of the room with 5 stars in it. If a student is given a warning for making a bad choice or does not follow procedures/instructions, (s)he will have to remove a star. Below you will find the consequences given for each star that is removed:
Minus Zero Stars = If a student goes through the entire school day without losing any stars, (s)he will receive a positive note in his/her agenda as well as a sticker or stamp.
Minus 1 Star = No sticker in the student's Agenda.
(There is no time removed from the recess of a student with 4 stars. Every one makes mistakes and one mistake should not ruin the whole day.)
Minus 2 Stars = -5 minutes from recess & note home in agenda
Minus 3 Stars = -10 minutes from recess & detailed note home in agenda
Minus 4 Stars = -15 minutes from recess and call home to mom or dad
Minus 5 Stars (all) = Go to Principal’s office and call home
