I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving! Make sure the Pre A/P kids are reading their Number the Stars books and working on their assignments. Guiding Questions and annotated books are due December 3!
Week 9 vocab list this week. Meaningful Sentences are due on Thursday, and the quiz is on Friday.
We review and discuss the words on Monday and Wednesday. Students are supposed to use them in the Meaningful Sentences assignment which is due on Thursday. We grade those in class on Thursday for further review, then the test is on Friday. The test is in two parts. The first part is spelling. I call out the words in random order, and the students write them down to use as a word bank for part 2. Part 2 is fill-in-the-blank. We provide a sentence and students must choose the correct vocabulary word to fill in the blank. Again, these are not easy, but there are only 5 words a week. There is a complete list of the weekly vocabulary words in the listing folder for your viewing pleasure! :)
