Dual Enrollment Information

Steps in the Dual Enrollment Process (please follow these steps for Spring 2010)
If you are not enrolled for Fall 2009, please follow these steps....
1.  Make application with Hill College (www.hillcollege.edu/academics).  Be sure to fill in sections 2,4 and 6.
2.  Print off the following form, fill it out and turn it in to Mr. Brown in the counseling office at the high school as soon as possible. Dual Credit Early Admission Application.doc  All students enrolling in dual credit courses must turn in this form.  No exceptions!
3.  Set-up a time with Hill College to take the AccuPlacer.  Contact the testing office at the Cleburne campus for more information (817-760-5814).  If you are a Junior or Senior, you may be exempt from taking the AccuPlacer based on your TAKS scores.  Contact Hill College for more information or visit their website for the necessary scores (www.hillcollege.edu/academics).
4.  Sophomores will need to request a permission form from Mr. Brown in the BHS Counseling office.  He will turn these in directly to Hill College.  Students do not need to do anything but request the form from Mr. Brown.
5.  If you are planning to take more than 2 classes dual enrolled in a semester, please stop by and see Mr. Brown for a form that allows you to do so.  Hill College must have this form filled out completely before they will let you register.
6.  Hill College representatives will be on hand, Thursday, November 12th from 8:30-4:00 to enroll students here at Burleson High School.  This is the only day they will be on campus.

If you are enrolled in current dual enrolled courses, please bring your payment with you to the registration on November 12th.  Mr. Brown will have the registration forms on that day.
