Ready, Set, Teach is a one or two year internship program in which students work under the supervision of Mrs Guin and the guidance of an experienced classroom teacher at an elementary or middle school in the district to learn about the teaching profession.
RST! Interns meet with their lab classes on Monday/Friday or Tuesday/Thursday and meet at the high school with Mrs. Guin on Wednesdays for class.
Admittance into this program is based on an application and interview process in the spring semester before beginning the class in the fall.
Lab school activities include working one-on-one or in group settings with students, teaching lessons, assisting with grading, discipline, planning and preparation, field trips, and much more!
Classes at BHS involve learning about the teaching profession, including philpsophy of education, the learning process, the learning environment, communication, planning and preparation, and many other aspects of teaching.
