3rd Grade News September
Our third graders have really done well at learning their new routines and are working very hard to be successful at school. Thanks to all the parents who attended our curriculum night meeting. We hope we answered all of your questions. The students in each class have started presenting their Me Boards, and we are enjoying learning more about each other. Your child will bring a note home when it is their turn to bring their poster.
In our math class we have covered many topics & skills during these first few weeks. We studied rounding numbers, place value, estimation, number lines and problem solving . We will soon begin working on two & three digit addition and subtraction.
The students have been working very hard in reading and language arts. We have covered setting, main idea, compare/contrast, and we are starting cause and effect. Thank you for getting the homework back signed by Thursdays.
Thank you parents for all you do at home to support our efforts at school. We feel like there is a great deal of learning happening here due to all of our combined hard work.
