Math ...
It's all about Relationships!
In math class we will work together to learn about each other and learn math concepts that will help us be successful in our future. Math should never be learned as separate pieces of information. Connections have to be made so students can know when and how math will apply in the real world. I will help students see the relationships between fractions, decimals, and percents. It will be exciting to visualize changing dimensions and how that affects perimeter, area, and volume. We will become experts at proportion and percent applications that are useful for every adult. And of course, we will grow in
our own relationships with each other as the year goes on. Middle school is a crazy time for teens and sometimes math is not the most important thing in their lives. My job is to build relationships where I can help guide students through those times. I love this part of my job!
This website will provide answers to many of your questions throughout the year. Make sure to click on the Listing Folder when you are hunting for a copy of a worksheet.
The question of the week changes each week and can be turned in for extra credit.
